Fund Accountant / Senior Fund Accountant

Position Overview:
The Fund Accountant is responsible for maintaining accurate financial records across a portfolio of daily priced pooled funds, ensuring full compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. This role provides a dynamic opportunity to deepen expertise in fund accounting while collaborating closely with management, investment funds management, trade desk, technology and other operational teams.

Consideration can be made for Senior Fund Accountant based on the experience.

Key Responsibilities:
Perform daily, weekly, and monthly fund accounting tasks, income accruals and expense allocations, reconciling accounts, and calculating NAVs for multi-class pooled funds.
Process and reconcile portfolio transactions such as equity and fixed income trades, corporate actions, derivatives including FX and forward contracts, and income events.
Reconcile cash and securities positions with custodians and counterparties to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Monitor and validate pricing of securities using approved pricing sources and methodologies.
Monitor cash flow and coordinate with the operations team to ensure proper fund liquidity management.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., compliance, operations, portfolio management) to resolve discrepancies and support fund operations.
Participate in system upgrades, process improvements, and automation initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
2-4 years of experience in fund accounting or a related financial role.
Knowledge of GAAP and fund accounting principles.
Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with portfolio accounting software.
Eagerness to learn and develop in the field of fund accounting.

Job Hours
This role is 11 am to 7 pm Eastern.
